Even though yesterday is not close to being history, today is so far a mystery. In other words, coming up Wednesday are a whole lot of exciting badminton showdowns. We have tried to outline a few of the many must-see matches at day two of DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR.
Tuesday morning DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR took off and turned into a first day full of breathtaking badminton and remarkably surprising results.
Glancing down Wednesday’s order of play, no doubt the second day of DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR holds a whole lot of potential action-packed badminton.
As we did Tuesday, for today we have gathered a small selection of match-recommendations for some of the must-see matches that will be going on in Odense throughout the entire Wednesday to make the entire game schedule just a bit more manageable.
09.00 AM local time, Court 1: Three-time winner of DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR plays first match of the day.
Opening Wednesday on the main court is former Olympic champion in mixed doubles as well as defending Olympic champion in men’s doubles, Zhang Nan and his partner, Li Yinhui, who will be going up against Ricky Karandasuwardi/Debby Susanto from Indonesia.
Around noon local time, Court 1: Former women’s singles world champion on court.
Ratchanok Intanon, the world’s youngest women’s singles player to win the world championships (at age 18) will be playing her first match of the tournament around noon.
On the other half of the court we’ll find Scottish Kirsty Gilmour, that will be playing her chances against the Thai, who is seeded to move on to the semifinals.
Around 3 PM and 5 PM, Court 1: Two Danish men’s doubles on the hunt for revenge.
Wednesday afternoon the experienced Danish constellation Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen will be playing against the Dutchmen Robin Tabeling/Jelle Maas.
Last time the two constellations played each other was at Japan Open back in September. A match, that turned out in favor of the Dutch.
Nevertheless, the Danes have managed to defeat their first round-opponents from Holland two times before and thus their chances of revenge should be present later today.

Subsequently, another Danish constellation is up for a plausible revenge as Mads Pieler Kolding/Mads Conrad-Petersen will be fighting their China Open-match, Berry Angriawan/Hardianto Hardianto.
The Danes are seeded six and therefore favorites to win, but in the light of the two opponent’s most recent showdown, no doubt, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out on the two Dane's home turf.
Around 06.30 PM, Court 1: Home ground favorite plays his first match of the tournament.
Viktor Axelsen is back in his native town where he Wednesday evening is to play his first match at this year’s DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR against Kazumasa Sakai from Japan.
Axelsen is top seeded at the tournament and this first match might show whether he will be able to make use of his home turf advantage.
Around 09.30 PM local time, Court 3: Top seeded women’s singles player closes Court 3.
Bear in mind, that this is just a small extract of the likely several exciting matches, that will be played Wednesday.
We have no doubt, that day two of DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR, as Tuesday, will be a spectacular day filled with surprises and magnificent badminton and we look forward to welcome every single badminton enthusiast throughout the day.
